Quite the Experience with Computers

Quite the Experience with Computers I have had. When I first started to use a computer, I was lucky I knew how to turn it on and check my email that’s it!! I had to learn about what a browser is and what it does. So much stuff.

Quite the Experience with computers. A lady with her head in her hands looking at a computer.

My mentor had asked if I knew how to copy and paste. I said what? She had a dummy as far as it goes with computers. I told her before we began anything, I need someone that is going to have patience, because they will need them. I am teachable and ready to learn this new technology. (For me it’s new).

Learning things all the time. Quite the Experience with computers.

So little by little with trial and plenty of errors we started. (For me my anxiety was through the roof. I am afraid of making a mistake and not being able to fix it.) We have meetings just her and I to build my Performance blogging system at the same time. I ask a lot of questions. If I don’t ask then I won’t know. This is really important for me, being able to keep going with this system! Sure, I get really frustrated or angry. Especially if I forget something that I was already shown or taught, or I can’t get pass a point.

Not just about how to do things on the computer. For example, I learn all the different ways to do research on a topic. Learn things about the topic that I wouldn’t know. Google, quill bot became my friends.

More to Learn with Quite the Experience with computers.

There are so many things to learn about a computer and how to use it. Especially starting from scratch. Yes, it takes a lot of time, patience from both people. As long as I’m willing, ready to learn my mentor is there! She has two things to teach me. Not just to learn how to do my Performance Blogging System but learn how to use a computer.

I know I am way behind on things that I should have already been doing. But I do what I can for me including knowing what I can and can’t do. I work, learn at a pace for me to comprehend what I’m doing and why. I refuse to give up!

Quite the Experience with computers and More with technology

There are so many different tools in the computer system already, I’m learning different ones. Where they are, what to use each one for, any when to use a specific tool. I had to learn what a spread sheet is and how to use it, use it to help me with my Performance blogging system to my advantage without working harder but smarter. Just like how to create a password and how to use it to get where I needed to go. Also, learning how to create folders, putting files in the folders, where to put the folders. I will always keep learning.

Quite the Experience with computers. A team assisting each other with computers.

There is so much knowledge out there that’s so unbelievable! Learning all the tools to help you with whatever you are trying to do is a separate learning experience itself. I would have never imagined that I would be learning how to learn a computer but doing it as the same time doing my Performance Blogging System. There’s still so much I don’t know about a computer, I’m sure I won’t. However, I won’t stop learning about different things it can help me with my Performance blogging system.

I really never wanted to learn anything about technology until I had no choice! My very first experience was a cell phone. Believe it or not my kids had to show me how to work it. Everything about it! However, I’m back again trying to learn technology on a whole new level. I don’t think I will forget this learning experience either. I do know I won’t give up! Quite the Experience with computers I have had, no doubt.

At some point in my adult life I came to the realization that life has good and bad things happen. We don’t have to like them. For example, when I was in seventh grade I was taking an art class. Our teacher gave us an assignment to paint anything we wanted, but be as creative as possible. I knew NOTHING about painting what so ever! However, I went and got my supplies and just started mixing colors that I liked for a back ground or sky.

I started to paint an outline of what I thought a Pegasus would look like even though I have never seen one. My teacher comes over and looks at it and asked questions about it and told me to try something, for whatever reason I ended up throwing it in the garbage. She told me to get it out and then she guided me on some things to finish it. My whole point of this is that I didn’t realize that was a learning experience for me. Not until much later in life I realized it. That was quite the experience! To read more about this learning experience you can click here.
